Bali, Indonesia, 2009

P3070232

Bali Island. The first ever overseas trip that Dear and I travel to after we attached for ONE year. This trip happens on March 2009.

DSC00088

We thought that Bali Island was famous with the beauty of the beach.

BUT

We were cheated. WuWu~~! T.T

The famous Kuta Beach was loaded with HUMAN BEINGS~!!

TOO MANY HUMAN BEINGS FREAK US OUT…hahaha~

P3060208

P3060222

However, we still able to syok sendiri at the black sands beach behind our hotel. =)

P3050043

We went to a very nice place which makes us feel like heaven – Tanah Lot.

This place makes us feel like we are in the heaven…peaceful and beautiful.

P3050045

We get to know the lovely couple – Kenneth and Nicole from the trip. And there onwards, I always exchange travelling experience with Nicole =)

DSC00173

DSC00175

We went to watched the local ” KECAK DANCE” performance.

Honestly, the front part of the performance is a bit of boring as the performers just keep singing the same phrase…. “Kecak Kecak Kecak”

Cockroach_Halloween_Costume

It sounds to me like calling the cockroaches out to perform as “KECAK” sound so alike the Cantonese cockroaches pronunciation. =.=

P3050063

Thanks god that the artist for the show is human =)

PRETTY LADIES who play the main character as the Prince and “his” lover =p

DSC00125

Our driver is good enough to bring us to GWK for me to look at my “past life” hero. Thanks Uncle Terkan. LOLZ!

Seriously, I fall in love with this statue when I lay my eyes on him. So gorgeous~!!

Dear whisper her jealousy to me “JOYLINE CHAI!! YOU GO MARRY HIM LAH~!”

Oh Dear…How can I marry a statue…? Come Come sayang ya =p

DSC00131

After visiting my EX lover (syok-sendiri), I invite Dear to dance the HIPPO JUMBO DANCE in front of the GREAT EAGLE of my EX lover….kakaka~~

Please do appreciate our dance as this is ONLY FROM MALAYSIA and SPECIALLY perform during our ASIA TOUR CONCERT in Bali~~

APPLAUSE PLEASE….lalala~~ =p

DSC00145

You know what, I strongly feel that I have the potential to be statue.

When Dear was taking this photo, a lot of “WHITE” tourists look at me and whispered.

I guess they were whispering about HOW COME I CAN BE SO LOOK ALIKE THE STATUE….LOLZ~!

DSC00163

DSC00164

DSC00167

Oh yea…Never forget about the nice scence from Uluwatu. I love this place soooo much~~ So peace and harmony…..

DSC00170

And

Nice view always must come with Nice Couple. =p

DSC00186

We have the MOST ROMANTIC DINNER EVER at Jimbaran.

The VERY FIRST TIME I ate seafood as my proper meal which I am allegic with.

The VERY FIRST TIME we take a walk at the beach side after dinner.

The VERY FIRST TIME we kissed on the beach and listen to the voice of the ocean.

The VERY FIRST TIME she never said any harsh word to ruin the atsmophere. =p

P/S: Please remember to bargain to the person as they have HIDED menu with MUCH MORE cheaper price =)

P3060087

P3060089

We went to the Goa Gajah which don’t have Gajah……

AND

Bargain with the local people for the TIPPING issue =.=

Even we pretend we don’t have much rupiah, they ask for our country currency. *fainted*

P3060098

Since I was just graduated when I make myself to this trip, Uncle Terkan decided to bring us to Tampaksiring for me to get some luck by washing myself with the holy water.

P3060101

But seems like Dear is more excited than me when she heard about the HOLY WATER~~

P3060104

With the speed of lightning, she quickly wash her HIPPO PAW with the HOLY WATER.

Guess what…..I know what is her wish lah~

She wants a lot of NICE FOOD for her meal after she tasted the GREAT SEAFOOD from JIMBARAN.

P3060151

Went up the hill to watch Mount Batur and taste the freezing breeze….I love the feeling of standing on the top of the hill..

For your info, I am referring the small hill which can have the nice view of Mount Batur. I am not going to stand on top of Mount Batur as it was a LIVE VOLCANO~~still wanna be cute jumbo but not roasted elephant =p

P3060178

We visit the King Palace of Bali after having nice babi guling for our dinner.

As usual, she started to act innocent and act cute after she feed her tummy well =p

DSC00228

We woke up at 2.30am just to prepare ourselves for the ocean adventures – watching the dolphins dance in the middle of the sea at Singaraja.

Dear suffered some motion sickness during the journey due to the winding road to Singaraja.

She puke all her breakfast and milk but surprisingly I am fine.

YOU KNOW WHY?

Cause I was sleeping deadly in the car like I’m not belong to the earth =p

DSC00038

She cant even smile properly after she is feeling better because the vomiting upset her tummy a lots.

She looks at me again with the innocent look and start using the manja tactics. Muacks~!I hugged her tied so that she can lay on me while enjoying the sun rise view from this pretty island. =)

P3070261

We went to the BIGGEST waterfall in Bali to make ourselves wet and cold………

DSC00077

AND jump into the hot spring on the next hour to get ourselves HOT =.=

The consequences?

Dear puke again~~

DSC00200

Luckily she is fine after she went to have some nice coffee at the Musang Coffee Bean Shop.

She even hops up and down to choose some nice coffee bean as souvenirs for her dearest mother.

DSC00202

Glad to had her back to normal. Cheers Dear~

DSC00126(1)

The day before we depart to the airport. We pampered ourselves with our remaining rupiah by buying ourselves THE MOST LUXURY SPA SERVICES in Kuta Town.

DSC00127(1)

The package included

  • outdoor jacuzzi

DSC01806

This pic taken when we last met during August. I have being having a serious dilemma missing her. Everytime I turn like a geek when I saw couples walking in front of me.

ARRGGHHH~~!!

Due to the imbalance hormon in my body and the missing love sick cancer cel which had been spreading around my body, I RESIGNED and decided to take a short break by FLYING TO GOLD COAST to visit her.

IMG_5094

Ms Evelyn Chai was nice enough to accompany me on this trip. Her first experience flying oversea with Air Asia.

IMG_5093

But she seems like always curi-curi appear in my cam-whore shooting scence.

IMG_5123

Thanks to Merrell J Kruger who bring us around in Gold Coast. He is a very nice man.

And I realised my face look so alike my sister when I am gaining weight. CHEESEEE~!

21102009090

21102009091

21102009092

Basically, part of my job in this trip is to cook somthing nice for her to eat as her cooking skill is still in GRADE ONE.

23102009098

Breakfast

PA210501

Dinner

PA270822

Joyline Chai THREE COURSE MEAL

IMG_5698

Beside cooking, I need to bring her to Movie World so that she can play with the batman and walk into the wild wild west village.

IMG_5472

Have to bring her shopping and take nice photo at the famous clock hotel.

IMG_5729

Bring her to the Dream World to make her feel rich at the Gold Rush Mint

22102009095

Act Cool with her at the public bus to make her feel syok.

PA200464

Of course bring her to the Sea World to play with the Dolphins and feed the fat seagull.

PA270838

I bet she have a nice time as she keep taking weird posing when I say ” Dear, go take some picture”

PA280858

I thought it was suppose to be a journey to my loves one and end up she is having fun with my sister and I become the camera girl. Sighzz…

But looking at her smiling face, I feel warm. She is like a little kid keep hooping on me and manja on me.

IMG_5263

I remember she is so excited when she knows that we are going for the Australian Outback Show.

IMG_5249

As this show is talking about the importance of Horsemanship in Australia during the World War I and II.

She told me I look good on the cowboy hat. So if we were to born during World War, I have to be soldier. I guess she forgot that I am a girl. Ladies don’t have to go to the war my dear.

PA220548

She enjoy the show, enjoy the drink, enjoy the meal, enjoy chit chat with Merrell and she even clap so hard when she saw the wild boar racing at the show. (Too bad photo taking are not allow during the show. If not you would stand a chance watching her screaming so hard for the wild boar. ==)

Yet, she is still romantic enough to tell me ” Dear, thanks for coming so far for me, I know you care for me. I love you….”

Image108

First Time I place this photo to the forum to make her smile

29082008(010)

First Time she kissed me deeply in Secret Recipe Restaurant (people will shy-shy ma..)

The is a ONE day trip, and yet, I can see her enjoy every single time in the water especially when she looks so excited while watching the baby shark. Langkawi 2008

She always wanted to visit Langkawi again. And she keep pulling my shirt, manja to me with her innocent look.

“DEAR….I WANNA GO LANGKAWI LUR…”

IMG_3178

*Boom* without any proper planning, we are on our way to Langkawi.

IMG_3129

With TWO BIG BULBS following us. Haha..anyway, this is CK and JoJo. Another couple that follow us to Langkawi

IMG_3136

If you ask me where I’ve been visited during this trip, I would only say, this is a trip for relaxing. As most of the places I’ve been there like lots and lots of times.

I even know which shop is selling cheaper chocolates and alcohol. Of course also some tricks to “export” the over limit alcohol out from the island. Haha~

The most funny bargaining things I’ve done in this trip is about the car rental. Cheap as RM 30 per day but shit as the petrol consuming is high~! arrghh! NO LOCAL CAR TO BE RENT BY ME IN FUTURE.

IMG_3147

But everything is worth as she is beside me and enjoying the trip. Oh yes! She ate a lot~! I was not numbed about her eating volume but feel happiness surrounding me as I was able to watch the my loves one enjoying every single moment of the trip.

IMG_3131

She makes me realised that no matter how many difficulties are waiting for us in future, we shall try our very best to go through it together.

And I told her, There is millions of people out there and only YOU captured my sight.

She doubted me by asking me Is that a sweet talking?

I smiled.

She holds up my hand and whisper into my ears Yet I love it…

DSC00132

I just wanna tell her. I enjoy every minutes that I’ve spent with her in the island and also on the day she came into my life.

We tasted not only sweet but bitter together through out the relationship and yet its getting stronger.

Thanks dear.

IMG_3188

We almost miss our flight for this trip as both of us were overlook the time of the flight but thanks god we make it to this beautiful land.

1_714074384l

It seems like everything in Mulu is BIG~! They have BIG CAVES WITH BIG HOLES above.

1_654885195l

BIG ROCK which look like err…penis? or poopoo?

1_910992423l

And the BIG TREE with the short girl. Haha~~ I am just joking~ In fact, the tree is too huge.

1_322074799l

While we make our way to clear water, I fall in love with the natural scenery along the river. It was soooooo nice~~!! I have to indicate a lots of OOOOOOOOO in the SOOOOOOO to express my feeling towards these scenery.

1_936236575l

This scene reminds me the history of our Malaysia which once was a great Malay Empires. It makes me feel like I am back to 1300s, searching for my dream guy… Hang Jebat? Haha..

1_514951995l

Adlyn reminds me of the SS (syok sendiri) session when she was taking the photo of her own. I forced her to take a pic of me as she was kind of worry that the camera will fall into the river when she had difficulties to turn around. Thanks mate

1_846551593l

I love the water in front of the waterfall as it was so cooling. A lot of foreign visitors hoop into the water and enjoy their swim. Well, we cant do so as we didnt bring any extra shirt for that. TOOOO BAD..

1_848298000l

1_627424400l

This was taken while we on the canopy walk. Its far away high from the ground but its a nice experience to walk on it. We can heard some girls was grinning for the height. Haha~

1_924824090l

Oh yea.. before I forgot, I need to promote this long house accommodation. Its only cost RM120 per night but the room is BIG and the bath room is HUGE. Of course you don’t have to worry about the mosquito at all as the management talk all pre-caution step for that *winks*

19072008(013)

Lastly, thanks to Adlyn who make this trip fun and full of joys with her AH-MA style joking. It was a nice trip after all.. =)

The clip was taken during the wait for the arrival of tour guide. We are just vain~~!! haha!

HOW TO GET THERE

You have to take a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Miri and connect your flight from Miri to Mulu. Only MAS WING is available for this route. For Malaysian, even you are holding Malaysian Passport, you still need to provide your passport for flying to east malaysia. You are only allow to stay for 3 months as visitor.

PLACES TO VISIT

  1. DEER CAVES
  2. BAT FLYING
  3. CLEAR WATER
  4. MULU VILLAGE MARKET
  5. CANOPY WALK
  6. TRADITIONAL LONG HOUSE
  7. WIND CAVE

TRAVEL SUGGESTIONS

Before you go to Mulu, remember to buy as much food or tibits for yourself as it is costly in Mulu. A plate of normal fried rice will cost RM10 bucks. That is horrible.

Things you have to grab

  1. Umbrella/Rain Coat – the weather over there is rainny. That’s why it called THE RAIN FOREST
  2. Mosquito Cream – To prevent the bites when you are in the cave
  3. Camera – It is a MUST!!
  4. Long Sleeping Pants – It is cold at night
  5. A LOT OF CASH – There is NO ATM MACHINE in Mulu and they mostly only accept CASH.
  6. Make Pre-Booking for your caves visiting trip – It always full

ACCOMMODATION

Remember to make your pre-booking in the long house stay as it is a HOT DEAL for visitors. If you couldnt get a long house room then you have to sleep in the dorm with the rest of 20 stranges by sharing the bath room. The long house room is nice and it is cheap as it only cost RM 100-120 per night which u have 2 double bed in a room. So, for friends who are travelling in four, you can save your accommodation expensive by sharing a room in long house.

COST FOR TRIP

Make early flight booking to avoid expensive flight tickets. Package for travel all the caves and spot can be purchase in a very reasonable price at the entrace counter of Mulu Park. Estimated around RM500 per person if you get a cheap flight.

Taiwan Trip – 2006

DSC00067

Year 2006 is a miserable year to me, I have a broken relationship in the early of the year and all I do is running away. So, Taiwan become a sudden saver to me. I touched down to this country with a lot of mix feelings

3154360323559l

My cousin brother, Dixon invited me to join his couple friends – Andy & May to the trip. I really need this trip badly. I need to breath the air out from this country.

DSC00070

I do have to admit that I feel better once we reached Taiwan. Even the bus ticket from airport to our hotel has the “weird name” FREE GO BUS, a direct translate from the chinese spelling of “fei gou” TAIWAN BOLEH!

DSC00079

Our hotel rooms located exactly the middle of XI MEN DING. You can see how noisy the crowd is even its already 12am in the midnight.

DSC00151

I bought a HUGE sausage for my supper while walking alone on the street. My cousin was shopping with the couple.

DSC00150

May was in love with mineral water packaging. Honestly, it looks better than ours back in Malaysia.

DSC00147

When I walk pass this stall, I was so surprise what drink is that. Cause it stated there, “Frog’s egg”

DSC00148

When I really look into the big container, it was the ICE LEMON JELLY JUICE we can always found in Malaysia’s night market (pasar malam). But, the taste is much more better than those you found in Malaysia.

ABCD0015

I tried the ice-cream puff which is very popular around SHI LIN night market. It might be taste nice on the first bite, but it turns very cooling until I feel like I’m going to vomit out after I finish the whole puff.

DSC00511

This is the pizza puff that I took after I enjoy my Hot Spring. This pizza puff taste so nice, I took 5 puffs in one shot. I guess I got my cousin shocked~haha!

DSC00211

We went to WU FEN PU for shopping. Its a shopping heaven to us! Its cheap and trendy! And I love this pic so much~as I look so yeng~hehe

DSC00223

DSC00216

As Jean request me to take pic with some leng lui in Taiwan, too bad I couldnt find anyone, so have to take pic with these two sales girl. =)

31543462137900l

We went to this boating season and got stuck in a big cave. Thanks to Dixon and I who have no good skills on this. Haha~ have to practice more in genting highlands.

ABCD0019

DSC00146

We met these two cute doggies when we were shopping at TAN SHUI night market. The shop owners keep showing off their dogs and they do some sharing about their doggies.

DSC00448

I love this piece of art the most. It is the cover of one of the longkang hole that I have to pass by everytime I on my way back to hotel.

DSC00559

The day I am leaving back to Malaysia, I went for a shop in The Red House. It was like a modernise lifestyle in an old stylish building. I feel like I was stuck between two different decades. Taiwan? I will visit again~

HOW TO GET THERE

Now you can fly with Air Asia with cheaper price. But I went to Taiwan via Singapore. I took MAS from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. From Singapore, I took Jetstar (which available in Malaysia now) to Taiwan. Its a 5 hours journey but the tickets for Jetstar including return only cost me RM1,000.00

PLACES TO VISIT

  1. XI MEN DING (西门町)
  2. JIU FEN (九粉)
  3. DAN SHUI (淡水)
  4. YU REN MA TOU (渔人码头)
  5. SHI LIN NIGHT MARKET (士林夜市)
  6. DAN SHUI NIGHT MARKET (淡水夜市)
  7. YANG MING SHAN (阳明山)
  8. GUANDU
  9. TAIPEI 101
  10. KEE LUNG CITY (基隆)
  11. BEUTO HOT SPRING REGION (北斗温泉)
  12. LONG SHAN TEMPLE (龙山诗)
  13. THE RED HOUSE (红楼剧场)
  14. WU FEN PU (五分浦)

Sorry mates, I cant remember much where I have been to

BEFORE YOU GO

As if you are holding Malaysian Passport, no visa is applicable to visit this country but you can only have your stay for 14 days. If you are planning to stay more than the length, you have to apply for visa. Special charges for Taipei City are i) single entry – RM 100.00 ii) multiple entry – RM200.00

TRAVEL SUGGESTION

If you are following a tour, then you don’t have to worry about this. But my suggestions will go to those who plan to travel by themselves.

Things you remember to grab

  1. MRT CARD – such as touch n go for buses and train
  2. BUS ROUTE – you can get it at the airport information counter
  3. LATEST UPDATED MAP – THIS IS A MUST. I have no idea how are you going to move around without map
  4. COUNTRY SIM CARD – if you plan to keep contact with your friends in Malaysia, please do buy a disposable sim card to save your phone bill cost

**if possible, don’t take the cab/taxi in Taiwan, it’s costly and some of them are not honest (just like Malaysian lah~)

ACCOMMODATION

I suggest you make a early booking from the internet and do not stay inside XI MEN DING. This is the huge mistake that I have made. It is costly and not worth for the price. Book a hotel that nearby to bus station or MRT station. You may also book a hotel that require few minutes walk to the station. Trust me, it is more worth than paying  NT 1200 per night for a room like your hostel.

COST FOR TRAVEL

Excluding air tickets expenses, its very cheap to travel around Taiwan. The only weak point is you have to bargain when you are shopping in the night market. Never go to the mall. Cause you can get cheaper Branded gadgets or clothes in Malaysia.

TAIWAN

Happy travel in Taiwan~ Muacks

Australia Trip – Perth, 2005

This trip was a sudden planning. I never foreseen myself to travel that far as my target is to move along South-East-Asia before I proceed to any western country. (During 2005, Australia haven’t declare them-self as part of Asia)

It was my mum idea which suggest me to go around Australia and have some experience with breeding horses as I always stick with the Trainers and Owners from the Turf Club to gain more knowledge in horsing industry.

My destination for this trip is Perth, Australia. I am looking forward for this trip as it will be a journey to explore things outside Malaysia. As usual, Ms Kam will be following me after a long and patience persuade to her and her mum. We will be departing once we finish our final exam on September 2005.

We manage to get our air tickets from SIA with a super cheap price during MATTA fair. It only cost RM2,800 return tickets for TWO~!! We started to have lots of planning as we will be going there alone~! Or I should be saying only TWO PENANG KIA going by themselves huh? wuahaha~

Once we touched down in Perth, there was someone to pick us up from airport and drive us to Mr. Jeremy Smith’s place. Thanks to the wide networking from Madam Lim. We got the free rides.

We actually spent most of our time in breeding farm to learn most of the daily work for breeding good horses and during the weekends, we went out to the city by our own. We rent a bag packers Hotel – Grand Hotel near to Wellingston Street. It only cost AUD$16 per night. During our third weeks in Perth, we went to Burstwood Hotel to enjoy the luxury stay and travel to Freementle and Swan River Valley. I do have a little small fight with Ms Kam when we visit the zoo because of the plastic Dinosaur. (yaya..!! I know it’s kind of childish)

I discovered some weird things during my exploration in the city. I realised that the people over the street will look at us when we are taking the photos by ourselves. For the example, the below photo is the photo we took it with the auto-captured features by the camera itself and I saw a bunch of people just stop walking and look at us.

AT68

Well, I guess at that time maybe we are stepping on something weird? Who knows? HoHo

It was an awesome trip after all and Ms Kam even cried so sadly when the day we have to leave Perth.

Great trip? Yeah~! At least I makes more friend over there. Thanks Jeremy and Miles Anderson. Of course to my Dearest Mum.

Places that I visited during year 2005

  • Perth Zoo
  • Freementle
  • Round House
  • Wet Market – Freementle
  • Beach
  • Woodman’s Point
  • Mandurah
  • Kings Park
  • Barrack Street Jetty
  • Woodbridge house
  • Sandalford Vineyard
  • Northbridge

Budget for the trip : No adjustment

Actual Cost: RM6000 included 2 return tickets + 1 month stay at Perth, Australia.

Singapore Trip 2005

I started to travel around since I started to earning my own money when I was 17 years old. Self-finance myself very well and that’s why I got the chances to travel around without burdering my mum’s pocket. HoHo

This was the very FIRST trip I traveled with my ex and it was a self-funding trip. We were there for 5 days and I really enjoy every moment with her.

Places that I visit during Year 2005

- Arab Street
- Bugis Street
- Singapore Zoo
- Night Safari
- Jurong Bird Park
- Sentosa Island
- Experiencing Bus tour around the town
- Clarke Quay

Planning Budget – S$600

Actual Expenses – S$480

The accommodation for this trip was sponsored by my friend Mrs Lim. So this cut a lot of costing to us. Further more, I would advise people who wanted to travel in Singapore, get yourself an EzLink Card. It is cheaper than paying on spot. You may also use credit card for your Cab charges. Some cabs even equipt with latest GPS system. The Best thing is you don’t have to worry about cab slaughter in Singapore. They are always HONEST!! YEAH~! I mean it~!!
